About InteliProjects

In InteliProjects you will find writings, documents and insights about the varied subjects and challenges which have occupied me for more than 30 years.

I can be initially contacted through the contacts page on this site.

My successes rest on my ability to perform three different but related roles, depending on the challenge in front of me: strategic (seeing the big picture, re-thinking old methodologies), transformational (acting as a change-agent and rallying the troops) and operational (getting more value out of existing investments and systems). I also draw on an exceptionally varied professional experience:

  • Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Medical information sharing
  • Health Information Exchange (HIE)
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Medical devices
  • Science and technology policy and advice
  • Technology transfer
  • Education
  • Community and leadership
  • Solar energy
  • Change management
  • Non-conventional arms control (Nuclear Weapon Free Zone)

The first body of work I want to recommend is in the field of healthcare and IT. Click on the “healthcare” tag on the tag cloud on the left to see the posts. Clalit Health Services is Israel’s leading Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and one of the largest of its kind in the world. Clalit is an internationally recognized pioneer and leader in the field of medical information sharing and Business Intelligence (BI). Clalit is so far without equal in combining BI and medical information sharing tools to create an eHealth model for improving healthcare. The success of this model makes for an interesting case study for other organizations looking to improve the whole range of service challenges that comprise the healthcare industry.

The second body of work comes from the field of non-conventional arms control. This is work undertaken when I was a student of Shalheveth Freier, then the retired Head of Israel’s Atomic Energy Commission. The work was commended in 1993 by the Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office. It looks in detail at the practical aspects of establishing a nuclear weapon free zone in the middle east with special emphasis on IAEA and NPT verification procedures and ‘modalities’ – the diplomatic jargon for reaching and implementing a complex international agreement.

I look forward to receiving your comments.
